IT'S THE CHOICES WE MAKE
Despite some hardcore adversities, I've chosen to learn from even the most difficult situations. Now I'm sharing how I've done that because it's not what happens to us that determines our future; how we choose to react makes the difference. You choose every day. Make it extraordinary.

About Katie Addison
Life lessons from a 'normal, everyday' person who has been through an extraordinary experience and now sees the extraordinary in everything.
I’ve always been drawn to the idea of being a writer. A profession spent in a quiet room with a large desk, a giant mug of coffee and the time to create pictures with words. However, it took a drastic kick up the butt (or head) before everything fell into place, and I finally built the courage to pursue what I’d always wanted to do.
The quiet room and large desk have so far alluded me, but coffee has been a constant companion, and I’ve managed to take a life-changing event and use it to fuel what I write. I then use that writing to share what I have learned from the life-changing event—a wonderfully circular system.
I launched Everyday Extraordinary in the summer of 2021. While my posts were initially cathartic, evolving to become instrumental in helping me to come to terms with how my life had changed, I’m now at the stage where I want to take this further and focus on making sure that these lessons don’t end with me. So, as well as providing new material, I’m also returning to the first posts and editing them with you, the reader, firmly in mind. I’m sharing what I have learned and what I wish I’d known when going through the darkest times of my life.
I hope you enjoy it and get something from it. Even if that something is just the realisation that others out there think similarly or have experienced similar things. I want to be the voice of ordinary people we all see daily. I hope I’m someone you can relate to, with a voice that helps you realise we can all live Everyday Extraordinary.
